A charming former hunting lodge situated within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Gallangad Lodge B&B is set in grounds of 9 acres and offers a peaceful retreat at the gateway to the Highlands. Our guests can enjoy a choice of two bedrooms, a large residents' lounge with TV and stereo plus a sun room with fridge and microwave for guest use. We also have a large library of Scottish Books and Ordinance Survey maps, plus a variety of Games for guests to enjoy. Gallangad Lodge offers the perfect place to relax and unwind, explore Loch Lomond, or break your journey to the Highlands, with easy access to Glasgow and Stirling. We look forward to welcoming you!

Accommodation

Our Rooms and Facilities

We have 2 spacious bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people in total. Our Stag bedroom has a King-size bed and a sofa to sleep 2 people. For families, we can replace the sofa with 2 single beds. The Stag room has a private shower room located adjacent to the bedroom. Our Pheasant bedroom has it's own spacious en-suite shower room and has a double bed and sleeps 2 people. Good storage plus a selection of teas plus coffee , kettle and hairdryer are provided in each room. A guest lounge with TV and Stereo and large picture window over the garden plus a sun room with fridge and microwave, are also provided.

Scottish and Continental Breakfast

A continental breakfast is included in the price of our rooms or guests can opt for our delicious cooked Scottish Breakfast at an additional charge. The continental breakfast includes cereal, croissant, yogurt, fruit, toast, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Our Scottish Breakfast includes local sausages, bacon, black pudding, potato scone, mushrooms, tomatoes and our own hen’s eggs, cooked to your liking.

Gallangad Lodge and Gardens

At the south end of Loch Lomond, Gallangad Lodge is set close to the villages of Balloch and Drymen. Set in 9 acres of grounds, our guests can enjoy a walk around our upper and lower gardens, our orchard, and our woodland, or a stroll beside our burn (river). Offering a real haven for wildlife, guests can enjoy spotting local wildlife from the comfort of the window seat in the lounge or have a game of croquet or badminton in the garden.

The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park offers visitors a plethora of gorgeous scenery, outdoor activities and wildlife. Loch Lomond offers a variety of water sports or you can take one of the many waterbuses to sail around it. With lots of lovely walks both on our doorstep and within an hour’s drive, we are happy to recommend walks, activities and country pubs and restaurants to refuel after all your activity!
